Posse Empowerment is designed to Expose, Engage and Encourage young girls to explore careers and opportunities in the fields of STEAM. The vision of the creators is to create equitable representation of females in the STEAM industry. Posse Empowerment will receive a $750 cash award and free website and app services provided by Black Culture Weekly.

OUR 2ND PLACE WINNER IS BILAL ISSAFOU,creator of Unchained, an app designed
to connect HBCU students with internship and employment opportunities with large corporations. Unlike current recruitment platforms, students will not need headshot photos but instead will be able to record or upload a professional profile video that will
include a 30 second elevator pitch to feature on their profile. In addition to this students, will have access to professional development and resume editing tools through the app company’s partnerships. Bilal will receive a $500 cash award and his company’s video featured on CVMSDC virtual platforms.


OUR 3RD PLACE WINNER IS GABBY GOODWIN,creator of Confidence Look & Learn Hair School, an online styling and tutorial subscription service. This venture is just a small part of her existing company, Confidence by Gabby Goodwin, which includes hair care & styling products. Gabby will receive a $250 cash award.
